Who wouldn’t agree that Kris Aquino is the Philippine’s Queen of Talk?

Born Kristina Bernadette Cojuangco Aquino on February 14, 1971, Kris Aquino-Yap is among the most popular Filipino film and TV personalities known in the country and abroad. She gained prominence from her movies, soap operas, game shows, talk shows, and numerous commercials and product endorsements.

Not only was Kris Aquino labeled as the “Queen of Talk,” she was also cited as one of the two most powerful celebrities in the Philippines in the April 2009 issue of Yes! Magazine.

Since the first movie that she did, Kris Aquino started receiving box office recognitions and awards as her films became “patok sa masa”. In 1990, she was crowned the Box Office Queen for her film Pido Dida, Sabay Tayo; in 2004, for Feng Shui and So Happy Together; and in 2006, for Sukob, a horror Filipino film that has been rated the highest-grossing movie of all time in the Philippines.

At present, Kris Aquino is a “Kapamilya” for being a part of ABS-CBN contract actresses. Because of all her success and popularity in various media including film, television, publishing, recording, and product endorsements, she has been dubbed as the Queen of Talk or the Queen of All Media.

Kris Aquino is the youngest daughter of former Philippine senator Benigno Aquino, Jr. and former President Corazon Cojuangco-Aquino.
